The head coach of "Karpat" Andriy Tlumak commented on the idea of creating a "ZSU team" in the championship of Ukraine.
Andriy Tlumak— Many European countries have army teams. Therefore, the appearance of such in Ukraine will not cause any objection, especially now. But there are many issues: for example, funding. Currently, the average or even minimum budget of a UPL club is about two million dollars a year. Who will provide these funds? One more thing - the team should be attached to some city, and this will already be a problem.
According to the sporting principle, it is impossible to simply apply to the UPL. Make an exception? There will be a precedent. Taking someone else's place is also not correct. Or, as an option, create it on the basis of FC Mariupol, which was given a one-year delay due to the occupation. It is possible to create such a team in words, but in practice, lawyers and football officials should think carefully about how to organize it all, Tlumak told the newspaper "Express".
