Andriy Tlumak: "Who will provide funds for the "Army team"?"

The head coach of "Karpat" Andriy Tlumak commented on the idea of creating a "ZSU team" in the championship of Ukraine.

Andriy Tlumak

— Many European countries have army teams. Therefore, the appearance of such in Ukraine will not cause any objection, especially now. But there are many issues: for example, funding. Currently, the average or even minimum budget of a UPL club is about two million dollars a year. Who will provide these funds? One more thing - the team should be attached to some city, and this will already be a problem.

According to the sporting principle, it is impossible to simply apply to the UPL. Make an exception? There will be a precedent. Taking someone else's place is also not correct. Or, as an option, create it on the basis of FC Mariupol, which was given a one-year delay due to the occupation. It is possible to create such a team in words, but in practice, lawyers and football officials should think carefully about how to organize it all, Tlumak told the newspaper "Express".
