As previously reported, last Monday, the Pechersk Court of Kyiv ended a hearing on the case of the Secretary General of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) Yuriy Zapisotsky, who is accused of organizing the theft of more than 3 million euros received from UEFA for the participation of the Ukrainian national team in Euro 2016.
The verdict rendered as a result: keeping Zapisotsky in custody with the possibility of posting a bail in the amount of UAH 9.8 million.
After that, it became known that the UAF intends to pay the above amount for its functionary. Moreover, the organization intends to ask for money for this from the company of the president of Shakhtar Donetsk Rinat Akhmetov - DTEK. Well-known Ukrainian journalist Konstantin Andriyuk spoke about this.
“So, incredible news has arrived, the UAF is urgently looking for money to make a bail of almost 10 million hryvnias for its General Secretary, Yuriy Zapisotsky.
But there is one "but" - the money for the pledge must be official, legal and declared. And with this, as it turned out, there are problems.
Therefore, the UAF, attention, wants to ask DTEK for this money. UAF lawyers whispered about this on the sidelines of the court, ”Andriyuk wrote in his telegram channel.
