- I didn’t root for anyone, but I watched the tournament and saw a lot of interesting things. From the very beginning, I thought that someone from South America would win - Argentina or Brazil. I didn't make a mistake. Happy for Messi, who has proven himself to be the king of football. It was interesting to follow the work of goalkeepers - Martinez, Livakovic, Boon. Very good penalty shoot-outs, where each player shows himself as a person.
The same Martinez is a very unusual manner of behavior and attitude towards an opponent. Not everyone will like it, but he helped his team with these gestures, provocations.
“But this is completely opposite to your character, am I not mistaken? For the sake of the team, could you play a kind of “alfacha” at the gate?
— No, I really would not want to behave like that. But if the team needs sports aggression, toughness, intransigence - please. The goalkeeper is the last frontier in front of the goal, he needs to fight to the last.
