The gathering of Dynamo Kyiv near Antalya, Turkey, which will last more than a month, continues. On Friday, Mircea Lucescu's team held two training sessions. In the morning, residents of Dynamo worked out in the hotel's fitness center, where a complex of strength exercises for different muscle groups, prepared by physical training trainers, was waiting for them.
This complex included six exercises with different equipment and exercise equipment, which the players performed alternately. Strength exercises aimed at strengthening muscles are especially important now, at the beginning of the training season, to reduce the risk of injury during the main work on the football field. In addition, they are aimed at developing the players' athleticism and strength, which are needed during power struggles in the game.
The evening session was held on the green lawn of Mardan Sports Comlex. After jogging and warm-up, the players, divided into groups, proceeded to the so-called squares, after which, already united, they practiced controlling the ball on a large area of the field. Then the work continued in the half of the field, and already with the goal and goalkeepers, the white and blue worked in a limited space at the same time on different components - team interactions, individual technique, control and pressing, decision-making speed and execution of attacks.
On Saturday, "Dynamo" will play its second control match at the Turkish meeting. The opponent of Kyiv will be the most famous and most successful Slovenian club, the current champion of the country Maribor. The game on the central field of the Mardan Sports Complex will start at 17:00 local time (16:00 Kyiv time).
