The ball was in the gate of Latvians on 5th minute, but the referee canceled the goal. Kabaev shot from the left, and Vanat seemed to run on, but the judge obviously had a better idea and raised the flag - offside. On 20 minutes, Vanat received a pass from Garmash in the penalty area, went almost one-on-one, but hit the goalkeeper. On 42 minutes, Buyalskyy technically beat the goalkeeper with a shot from the right wing position, the ball hit the crossbar. Alas, this was the end of the creativity of the Kiev team in the first half.
After the break the rivals immediately exchanged moments. First, Dyachuk did not have time to cover his opponent, and he shot from 8 meters to the crossbar. And then Karavaev applied from 13 meters to the rebounded ball, but it flew over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match Kabaev made an accurate pass on the left to Dubinchak, who shot into the penalty area, where Vitaliy Buyalskiy deflected the ball into the near corner. 1:0. Three minutes passed, and sleepwalking attack pummeled the whole Dynamo defense: first, our defenders let the opponent into the penalty area on the flank, and then did not cover Gueye in the center of the penalty area. 1:1. After that, Valmiera had the advantage. On several occasions it was only Morgun's reaction that saved them from a goal. The scoreline remained unchanged till the final whistle.
