The central game of the reporting period began not with the dangerous moments, but with a large number of minor fouls on the part of "Dnipro-1". However, it was Oleksandr Kucher`s team who soon began to create moments at the gates of Dynamo. The first of them was Dovbik, but the forward failed to header from several meters after a cross from the flank. Literally after a few minutes Artem had one more chance, but Nesheret managed to win the duel with the forward, catching the ball in his hands.
"Dynamo, in turn, tried to respond with their positional attacks, but often Mircea Lucescu's charges lacked the last accurate pass or the finishing kick. Dnipro 1 defenders often just blocked Kyiv team's shots, for example, as in the episode with Kabaev.
Near the middle of the first half Dnipro-1 created the first one hundred percent goal chance in the match: Dovbik managed to get away from his opponent on the left flank, and then shot into the center of the penalty area to the uncovered Mikhalenka. However, Dnipro midfielder missed on the ball from a few meters. "Dynamo" almost all the squad went back to defense, but moments for "Dnipro-1" were not less: Pidlipenets managed to escape one on one with Nesheret, but at the last moment "white-blue" saved Vivcharenko, who put the opponent's body and did not give the chance to shoot on goal.
Dynamo managed to find its own moment near the end of the first half. After intense pressure near the gate "Dnipro-1" defender Hayner inaccurately passed to his partner - Buyalskiy intercepted the ball and managed to hit the far bottom corner of the goal Rybak - 0:1 0:1! Already in extra time to the first half nominal home team tried to get back, but unsuccessfully.
After the break, "Dynamo" openly switched to the game number two, giving the initiative to "Dnipro-1". It is logical that in this way Dynamo players expected to catch the opponent on the counterattack or to implement a standard position. It was after a corner near Dnipro`s goal that Lucescu`s team managed to score the second goal chance of the match: after a little bit of fuss in the penalty area, Vanat managed to kick with his heel from the goalmouth, but a defender managed to block his shot. It should also be noted that Anton Tsarenko, who came on as a substitute instead of Benito, visibly refreshed the Bilo-Syni`s game. It was his energetic performance on the right flank that allowed Dynamo to launch dangerous counterattacks.
The scandalous episode happened a few minutes before the end of the match. In a non-game moment Domingo Blanco just kicked Vitaliy Buyalskiy's leg. The referee Krivushkin, who was next to the players, did not even look at the VAR, and after a pause showed only a yellow card to the Dnipro midfielder. A real circus, because the Argentine deserved a straight red card for such a rude behavior.
In the end, Dynamo were able to calmly and pragmatically bring the game to victory. In fact, Dnipro-1 failed to create anything near Nesheret`s goal in the second half, remembering only for the foul play. Strategically important three points for the "white-blue", who continue to fight for the championship.
It must be recalled Dynamo matches in the championship of Ukraine will be played on Saturday, March 18. Mircea Lucescu's team will face Luhans'ka Zoria. The game kicks off at 14:00.
