Infantino was re-elected as FIFA president. The Swiss was the only candidate

Gianni Infantino was re-elected as FIFA president. This is reported by the agency AFP.

It is reported that the election of the new FIFA president took place at the 73rd Congress of the soccer organization in Kigali (Rwanda). Thus, Infantino will be president of FIFA until 2027. It is noteworthy that the functionary was the only candidate in the election.

Recall that Infantino, who has Swiss and Italian citizenship, has led FIFA since 2016. In 2019, he was re-elected for a second term.
