Ibrahimovic became the oldest player to play in the European Championship qualifiers

he Swedish national team striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic became the oldest player to take part in the qualifying matches for the European Championships.

In the first round of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, the Swedes lost to Belgium (0: 3), Zlatan came on as a substitute in the second half, but failed to score. Thus, the forward became the oldest player (41 years and 172 days) to ever play in a Euro qualifying match. The previous record belonged to Dino Dzoff (41 years and 3 months).

"I want to keep playing football. Of course, if my physical condition allows, this will be my priority. I feel very good in Milan. I would be happy to stay if they want me to," Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted Ibrahimovic on Twitter.
