Vitaliy Kulyba, the physical training coach of Dynamo's first team, spoke about the modern gym that was recently opened at the club's training base in Vita-Litovska.
Photo: fcdynamo.com- Dynamo recently announced the opening of a new gym. What was the reason for this decision?
- First of all, it was the wish of our head coach to build a modern, large gym that would meet all the requirements of a modern progressive team, so that there would be all the necessary equipment and the gym could accommodate the entire team for a full training session.
- When you consulted on the construction of the new gym, what were the main requirements?
- As I said, the main requirement was that the whole team could work together here at once, that is, that 30 players could freely perform all the necessary exercises at the same time. A few years ago, we held a winter training camp in Spain, in Murcia, and there we worked in a gym that we really liked. While doing the exercises, I noticed that they used exercise machines and equipment from the Polish company PROUD. Then I contacted them, and they agreed to help us open a new gym at our training base.
- Could you tell us more about the equipment in our gym? Can we see any state-of-the-art equipment here that is not available in regular fitness clubs?
- First of all, there is a speed track in the center of the gym. This is the main area, there is a lot of space for performing various exercises. There is an aerobic zone on one side of the track and a strength zone on the other. A metal frame is also suspended above the track, and there are power frames on its sides. We can attach rubber and TRX to the frame, store fitballs and unstable surfaces - that is, the design is very practical and easy to use.
The gym is always freely accessible to all players, and each of them has an electronic key that allows them to enter the gym at any time.
