Carragher: "In the Champions League, the games are often very slow, like charity matches"

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher commented on Chelsea's performance in the first leg of the Champions League 1/4 final against Real Madrid (0:2).

"When you play in Europe, it's different to the Premier League. It often happens that the game runs slower. Sometimes it's like a charity game! Look at the Chelsea players and you will see how slow they were.

For me, that's what European football is all about - the way Real Madrid changed the tempo of the game. Everyone seems to calm down, taking their positions, and then Rodrigo scores a goal. Bang! Everything is happening so fast,” CBS Sports quoted Carragher as saying.

Да неужели? А меня тут хором убеждают в космических скоростях современного футбола - особенно в Лиге чемпионов :).
