Zhytomyr Polissya defender Vadim Chervak, who received a six-month suspension for being in the first league match with Zaporozhye Metalurh pushed in the back the female arbitrator of this meeting, Sophia Reason, is considering whether to file an appeal against this verdict of the UAF FTC. This was announced by the editor-in-chief of Profootball Digital Vladimir Zverov

Vadim Chervak

“According to my information, Chervak is now thinking whether to appeal to him or not. While he is looking for an answer to the question, is it even possible that in this situation they can reduce his sentence," Zverov said.

The journalist also recalled the 2016 Ukrainian Cup match, when Dnipro players Ruslan Rotan and Roman Zozulya, after the final whistle, attacked Anatoly Abdulla, the chief referee of the match. Those actions of the players did not look like a single outburst of emotions, as it was in the situation with Chervak and Cause, but had the context of a conscious physical impact on the referee. Moreover, all this resulted in a protracted conflict on the football field with the participation of representatives of both teams.

As a result, both Rotan and Zozulya also received six months of disqualification, but then both Dnipro and various representatives of the football world stood up for them. As a result, the verdict was revised for three months of disqualification, plus the same period of probation.

“Will someone stand up for Chervak, as was the case with Rotan and Zozulya? As I understand it, he is now thinking about the answer to this question as well. And he strongly doubts a positive answer,” Zverov also said.

Recall that Chervak publicly apologized to Cause the day after the incident, but this did not save him from severe punishment. In addition, Polesie terminated the contract with him.
