On Friday, April 21, Dynamo's U-19 team played a match of the 22nd round of the Ukrainian Youth Championship at the club's training base in Koncha Zaspa. Ihor Kostiuk's wards played host to Shakhtar Donetsk.

The teams that are next to each other in the standings of the U-19 youth championship met, they were separated by only one point. Dynamo were in second place with 50 points, while Donetsk were in third place with 49 points, so the match promised to be exciting and unpredictable. It should be noted that the first-round match ended in a 2-0 victory for Dynamo.
In the first minutes, Kyiv scored a corner kick and generally tried to be active and decisive. The nominal hosts played on counterattacks, which our players tried to disrupt at the initial stage. The uncompromising struggle continued, there were many clashes, which is not surprising given the names and ambitions of the opponents. Until the middle of the half, the teams did not create too many dangerous chances at each other's goal. We can only note Donetsk's attempt to shoot on goal, when Ihnatenko reacted to a shot from outside the penalty area and neutralized the threat.
Once again, the danger near Dynamo's possessions arose after the Pitmen earned a free kick 23 meters from the goal, but Losenko shot well over the goal. But Kyiv managed their moment much better: after a swift attack, Husev made a pass to the right, Diallo almost reached the ball with his head in a spectacular jump, it bounced to Kremchanin, and Dmytro pushed it into the net from a few meters - 1: 0!
"Shakhtar tried to respond with a low shot by Toirov, but Ihnatenko was alert and took the ball away. In general, Dynamo were closer to scoring the second goal than Shakhtar were to equalizing. In particular, Diallo provided a great scoring opportunity for his partner with a great cross to Yatsyk: Oleksandr ran at high speed one-on-one with the goalkeeper and struck past him, but the ball treacherously hit the post!
In stoppage time, Donetsk took a corner kick - Ihnatenko dealt with the ball, and Slesar tried to earn a penalty after a collision with an opponent in someone else's penalty area, but the referee did not find anything illegal in the Shakhtar player's actions.
The second half began with a low shot by Losenko - our goalkeeper played reliably. Several times Donetsk players broke the rules in the attack and lost the ball. Near the opposite goal, the hosts took a dangerous corner kick: after a set piece, Gusev and Balaba jumped into the penalty area, but both of our players lacked a few centimeters to reach the ball. Malysh also had a good shot in the far corner, but it was a bit inaccurate. Diallo aimed at the goal from 14 meters - Twardowski reacted.
In short, the advantage of Kyiv was tangible, which was manifested in the number of dangerous moments. In particular, once again Diallo struck an awkward shot from under the defender, but again the goalkeeper was on the spot. In response, Yushchenko almost scored, but Ihnatenko took the ball away in time. The next development seemed somewhat illogical, but the guests managed to score: after a corner kick, one of the opponents continued the ball's flight to Farina, and he scored a well-aimed goal to level the score at 1-1.
But Dynamo were not upset for long, after 10 minutes Malysh made a great shot from the right, and Diallo put Kyiv ahead again with a side scissors fall - 2: 1. In general, the game was dynamic, the teams quickly passed through the middle of the field and regularly threatened each other's goals. Several times it was hot near the Kyiv goal, but the opponents were let down by the realization.
The third goal, scored by Dynamo eight minutes before the final whistle, eased the tension somewhat. This time it was Malysh who scored, as he managed to send the ball into the net in a lapping action with the post. As for Donetsk, they first managed to shoot a free kick above the goal, and then renewed the intrigue after a corner kick, when our defenders allowed Kozik to head it in. Before the final whistle, the teams made each other's fans nervous several more times, but this did not affect the final result - 3: 2 in favor of Dynamo.
