The forward of Dnipro-1 Artem Dovbik scored a goal in yesterday's match of the 22nd round of the Ukrainian championship against Lviv Rukh (3:2) and brought the number of his goals in the current championship to 19.
This allowed the 25-year-old not only to strengthen his leading position in the championship`s scorers` race (the nearest pursuers - Vitaliy Buyalskiy from Dynamo and Taulian Suleymanov from Vorskla have 11 goals each), but also to approach the absolute goal-scorers` record which was set in the season 2012/13 by Henrikh Mkhitaryan with 25 goals.
The best scoring records of the Ukrainian championships
1. Henrikh Mkhitaryan - 25 goals
2. Sergey Rebrov, Maxim Shatskikh, Alex Teixeira - 22
3. Andrei Vorobey, Arsen Avakov, Oleg Matveev, Facundo Ferreira - 21
Timerlan Huseynov, Maxim Shatskikh, Luiz Adriano, Juniors Moraes - 20.
5. Marko Devic, Junior Moraes, Artem Dovbik - 19
Thus, only six goals separate Dovbik from the absolute goal-scorer record. Whether he will be able to score in the remaining eight games of the "Dnipro-1" of the current championship of Ukraine, we will find out very soon.
