On Monday, 8 May, Kryvyi Rih's Kryvbas and Kyiv's Dynamo met in one of the matches of the 25th round of the Ukrainian championship. The match took place in Kryvyi Rih at the Gornyak Stadium.

Kryvbas got the start of the match. Already on the 2nd minute of the match Yuriy Vernidub`s team made very sharp attack: Monday broke through on the right wing, gave to the near post where Mikitishin header from 7 meters, but Nesheret, showing great reaction, managed to throw the ball away. In that episode the linesman booked an offside position, but in any case, the hosts' attack looked very alarming for Dynamo's defence.
Subsequently, Kryvbas continued to play an energetic attacking game, combined with no less active pressing when the ball was lost. And in the 15th minute of the match the hosts once again created a dangerous moment. This time Kapic shot from the penalty area - the ball flew towards Dynamo's goal net, but Nesheret was up to the mark again. And literally after just a minute Zaderaka shot from 14 meters - Dynamo keeper in this situation saved his team, and absolutely coolly secured the ball in his hands.
In the middle of the half, Dynamo managed to impose the fight on the opponents in the centre of the pitch and improve the ball control, but the game plan did not change dramatically. The visitors very rarely came close to Kryvbas, and the actual sharpness was not even close.
Only in the closing stages of the first half Dynamo finally managed to seize a significant advantage and put Kryvbas closer to the goal. But even in this situation, the hosts did not give the Kyiv side any chances - they failed to put the finishing touches to their combinations. But the team from Kryvyi Rih just before the whistle to the break nearly opened the score: after a free-kick the ball hit the wall, soared up and went straight to Lunev in the immediate vicinity of the goal for Kiev, who in a stretch hit and the ball hit the crossbar. Not without the participation of Nesheret, who managed to react in that situation and touched the ball with his fingers. If not for that, who knows, the score would have been 1-0. So, the teams went into the break with zeros in the scoreboard.
But at the very beginning of the second half, the scoreline was opened. And not by Kryvbas. Andriyevskiy made a cross from the right flank into the penalty area, where Popov, jumping out above everyone else, headed the ball into the net - 0-1.
The goal spurred Dynamo players on, they attacked and within a short span of time hit Kryvbas goal with a few more shots from different positions. But in some episodes, the hosts' keeper Klishchuk played brilliantly, while in others the Kyiv side lacked precision and luck.
Soon, Kryvbas recovered after conceding a goal, and the game became more even. In any case, attacks were no longer directed only at the gate of the Kryvyi Rih team. But neither Dynamo nor Kryvbas created chances. But in the 83rd minute the Kyiv side had to double their lead: Voloshyn filigree cut through Ramires one-on-one with Klishchuk from the left side of the penalty box, but Dynamo forward fumbled with the ball and, as a result, he could not beat the withdrawn Kryvbas goalkeeper. Also, we cannot ignore Parris's shot from outside the penalty box during the second half, when the ball flew over the crossbar. The match-worthy moments came to an end. As a result, it was 1-0, a minimal win for Kyiv.
After this result, Dynamo still occupied the fourth place in the standings of the Ukrainian championship, two points behind the third from Luhansk Zoria, but the latter has not played its match of the 25th round (today the Luhansk team will play with Metalist 1925 from Kharkiv).
Next, in the 26th round Dynamo will play in Kyiv vs Chornomorets Odesa. The match is to take place next Saturday, May 13, kickoff at 14:00.
