Legia Warsaw have announced on their club website the signing of a three-year contract with Spanish striker Marc Gual, whose last club was Dnipro 1.
Recall that Gual joined Dnipro 1 in January 2022, but because of the war he never made his debut for the team. Having taken advantage of FIFA's temporary rule for players of Ukrainian clubs, the Spaniard moved on loan to the Polish side Jagiellonia where he has shown impressive results this season: 16 goals and six assists.
Gual's contract with Legia will come into effect after the end of the current season, meanwhile the forward continues to play for Jagiellonia. Interestingly, yesterday Gual scored a goal against his future team. However, that didn't stop Legia from scoring a 5-1 win.
It should be added that unofficially, earlier this year, Gual and Dnipro 1 terminated the contract by mutual agreement. If this is indeed the case, then, respectively, Legia received the forward free of charge.
