Football fans were expecting an exciting match when Lviv met Chornomorets in a Premier League match at SKIF Stadium. The home side, Lviv, were hoping for a win, but things did not go as planned. The first half passed without much action, both teams failed to hit the net. However, the game livened up in the 23rd minute, when Chornomorets took the lead thanks to a goal scored by V. Saliuk, to the delight of the fans. Lviv tried to respond, but could not level the score, and at half-time the score was 0-1 in favour of Chornomorets. In the second half Lviv made three substitutions and it looked like they were going to get back into the game. However, Chornomorets defence resisted and prevented the hosts from breaking through.
Chornomorets also made three substitutions: on 68 minutes S. Politylo came on instead of G. Hadida. The visiting team kept dominating and the disappointment of the Lviv side was demonstrated by the number of yellow cards they received. In the 72nd minute, T. Mikhavko got a yellow card, who was replaced by R. Mykytyuk the same minute. Lviv team kept pushing forward, but their efforts were in vain. Chornomorets made two more substitutions in the 73rd and 81st minutes: A. Avagimyan and M. Voitikhovskyi came on as a substitute, while A. Shtogrin took over for Voitikhovskyi in the 81st minute. The visiting team were happy to hold on to a 1-0 lead and eventually emerged victorious. The match was competitive and both teams put in a good shift, but Chornomorets were the stronger side on the day. The Lviv side put in a lot of effort, but in the end were unable to convert their advantage.
