From the tournament point of view the match was not principal for Dynamo. As for Veres the question about retaining the place in the UPL for the next season is still relevant. Maybe that's why Yuriy Virta's team acted very cautiously from the opening minutes.
Dynamo, in turn, also were in no hurry to rush things, hoping to crack the opponent's defense through positional attacks. However, there were problems with it, because Veres had almost the whole team behind the ball in defence. However, the nominal visitors managed to create the first dangerous moment in the match: Buschan confidently stepped up to intercept the ball, not allowing Sharay to shot on goal from an easy position. Then, football in the first half was more memorable not for the game itself but for a significant number of fouls in the middle of the pitch. Sidorchuk and Dyachuk got their warnings.
It is noteworthy that Dynamo created their only goal-scoring chance just a minute before the end of the first half. Kabaev earned a free-kick which Andriyevskyi converted. The midfielder shot from twenty meters into the bar of Kogut's goal. That was the end of all the interesting events in the first half.
After the break the game got more exciting: first Ramires hit the crossbar with a header after a cross from the left flank, and after a minute the forward finally managed to open the score: Karavaev perfectly threw Venezuelan the ball to the goalie line, and Ramires, on the wings of the defender and the goalkeeper, with the second touch hit the empty net -1:0!
In the next few minutes, Veres got more involved, but Shovkovskiy's charges were still in control. Diachuk could have scored the second goal, but missed the ball from a few meters after a corner. Another best moment on 67 minutes, Voloshyn missed the chance: midfielder received a beautiful pass from deep midfield, outplayed the goalkeeper Kogut, but missed the goal from an acute angle.
The ending of the match turned out magical. On 87 minutes, Sirota fouled an opponent in his penalty area. The referee didn't hesitate to call a spot-kick. Veres had a great opportunity to level the score, but Shestakov's shot from 11 metres was saved by Buschan! After another minute Kyiv managed to double the lead - Garmash responded to a cross from the left flank and slotted the ball into the net -2-0! Voloshyn dotted down the final mark of the game, with Karavaev planting the ball into the net from the right flank -3-0! A deserved win for the Bilo-Syni.
It must be recalled, in the 30th and the final round of this season UPL, Dynamo will play against Metalist 1925. The match will take place in Kyiv on Sunday, June 4, kickoff at 15:00.
