Former Ukraine striker Yevhen Seleznyov has revealed that Andriy Shevchenko will not be able to take part in his farewell match.
"Yesterday I talked to Andriy Shevchenko, he is now in Ukraine, but he is leaving. I invited him to my farewell match, he took time to think. Today, we also talked to him, he will not be able to, but he sends his greetings.
The match will be attended by people I have been with for a certain part of my career and I will be happy to see them all. Probably the main aim is not just to raise funds, but a lot of funds. I've set that as a goal and I'll achieve it.
Admission is free. Come and support it. I don`t have 100 percent of my stuff - Zinchenko, Mudryk, Malinovskyy, Sanya Usyk and Andriy could not come, but I`m still waiting for a decision from Serhiy Rebrov. I have great respect for him, he's a legend, just like Maksym Shatskikh.
I would be grateful if they came, but I understand - personal life, also there are families, some issues. I was pleased to hear the warm words from Andriy Nikolayevich. A lot of respect to him for that," Seleznev said.
