Dynamo's attacking midfielder Kahim Perris has been called up to the Jamaican national team, which is preparing to take part in the final tournament of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The major football tournament involving 16 teams from the North and Central American confederation (as well as the Qatar national team as an invited guest) will take place in two countries, Canada and the United States, from 24 June to 16 July.
It is worth noting that the Jamaican national team is in Group A, where its rivals will be the USA, Nicaragua and one of the winners of the previous round (these matches will take place on 20 June). They will start in the reggae group with a match against the USA in Chicago (25 June), then play Nicaragua in St Louis (28 June), and finish the group stage with a match against the qualifier (2 July).
It should be added that for the 23-year-old Dynamo player, who has played 7 matches for the national team, this will be the first major tournament at the national team level. As for Jamaica, the best result of the Reggae at the CONCACAF Gold Cup was silver in two consecutive tournaments in 2015 and 2017.
