Greek journalists: "Verbic came from Dinamo as a touted player, but he is not destined to be a key player"

Greece are pondering the future of ex-Dynamo winger Benjamin Verbic, who spent last season at Panathinaikos. The player is unlikely to qualify for a place in the starting line-up.

Benjamin Verbic has not impressed the Greek public since his move from Dinamo to Panathinaikos. Local journalists speculate on what to expect from the Slovenian player in the new campaign.

"I wonder what will happen with Verbic. The Slovenian winger came to Panathinaikos from Dinamo as a highly touted player. He scored three goals in 29 games and performed below average. This was accompanied, of course, by many personal problems".

According to journalists, Verbic may be given another chance, but he is unlikely to qualify for a place in the starting line-up.

"Whether he will get a chance remains to be seen. Not many people are saying it should be done. It's almost certain that Verbic is not destined to be a key player, at least in the beginning. I wonder what will happen next," writes Sportime.
