Viktor Skrypnyk: "Telling you how worried I am about Ukraine abroad is wrong".

Vorskla head coach Viktor Skrypnyk explained why it was crucial for him to stay in Ukraine.

"On February 24, 2022, what began in Ukraine began. So I decided that it would be wrong of me to work somewhere abroad and tell you how much I care about Ukraine. I cannot say that I am doing anything extraordinary right now, but I want to be in the middle of things.

I was in Ukraine for the first month of the war. At the end of March I went to Germany. Last June I was told that there was interest from Vorskla. In the same month I returned to Ukraine. "Vorskla" was the first club that reached out to me. I was satisfied with that option, so the others automatically fell away", Skrypnyk said.
