Oleksandr Syrota, defender of Dynamo Kyiv and the Ukrainian youth national team, shared his expectations for the Euro 2023 U-21 match against his peers from Spain.
- The physical condition is good, because we are constantly training. We will see how good it is in the match against Spain. I came from the club without any injuries, like most of the guys. Of course, it was good for us. Will the potential absence of Maksym Taloverov affect my participation? It's hard to say, because after all, he is a right-sided centre-back, and I am a left-sided one. It's a bit different. The issue of rotation is up to the coaching staff. I don't know how everything will turn out before the game.
Of course, we analysed Spain well, did not focus on specific players, but looked at the team as a whole. We know how to counteract them, so we will try to do it all on the pitch. What are the Spaniards' greatest strengths? They play very well from flank to flank, and their central midfielders run into zones. We have a goal, we don't look at the opponent. The goal for the match is, of course, to win and get out of the group from first place," said the Dynamo player.
