The head of Lokomotiv Kyiv, Oleksandr Yegorov, responded to the accusations of fans who saw the emblem of the Kyiv team as a copy of the corresponding Moscow logo.
- Lokomotiv Kyiv was founded three years earlier than Moscow. This emblem and colours were invented by employees of the Kyiv railway station, with green and red being the colours of the semaphore. Later, when Moscow created its central club, it began to take players from Kyiv, and out of old habit, decided not to invent anything about the emblem and colours.
I wish them to play nowhere but their own swamps. At most, they should play matches with the same shitty Belarus, so that they can fade into oblivion. "Lokomotiv must regain its historical right to be called the No. 1 railway club. We are planning to raise this issue in an international court to defend the right to the brand," Yegorov said in an interview withUV.
We would like to add that Lokomotiv Kyiv, which is managed by Ukrzaliznytsia, was granted the status of a professional club on 26 June and will play in the second league starting next season.
