Ukraine remains in a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup with Spain, Portugal and Morocco, according to l'Équipe.
A note in the paper notes that the four countries will soon submit a joint bid to host the tournament and Ukraine will host the matches if the war with Russia is over by then.
In addition to this bid, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Paraguay are reported to be submitting a joint bid. There are no other bids to host the 2030 World Cup at the moment.
The bid from Spain, Portugal, Ukraine and Morocco is focused on environmental and human sustainability, says the source. FIFA is due to select the host countries in September 2024.
