Everton fans have criticised Ukraine left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko for his absence from the squad for the pre-season training camp in Switzerland.
Fans of the English club in social networks criticised the Ukrainian for being too injury prone and noted that if Everton decide to sign 38-year-old Ashley Young, he could adequately replace the 24-year-old Mikolenko.
AdamB28: "Mikolenko is not on the list, he must have been drafted in for the war."
Matt: "Ideally we should sign a better defenceman than Mikolenko to come in right away and be our LZ for years to come, but we're just plugging holes with a short term plan."
Aide Dews: "Mikolenko's injury history obliges us to sign a new left-back."
Jay_cluskey21: "Mikolenko is still young. Hopefully he will improve his attacking game in the new season."
Jamie_UTFT: "Ashley Young, even at 38, is better than Mikolenko."
Jay Molloy: "I predict Young in the starting line-up instead of Mikolenko."
