Leonid Buriak, the legendary footballer of Dynamo Kyiv, told how the team's players broke the regime in the 1970s.
- "What came before us was a team that drank. Until 1973, when Lobanovsky came in. Viktor Serebryanikov can tell you about it, as can Volodya Muntyan and Andriy Andriyovych (Biba). All of these people were quite heavy drinkers. And then there were such training sessions when you thought: "Should I drink or not?" Because you had to die the next day. Again, this is human health. I know some of them, but I won't mention their names.
If Lobanovsky guessed that the person was not quite fresh, he would give them a running test. He had to run for a minute, but he ran for a minute and a half, and Lobanovsky said: "Pack your things, goodbye. We're done here". It happened. I don't want to talk about it, but it happened," Buriak told Gordon TV channel.
