Shakhtar Donetsk will sign a five-year contract with former Atletico Paranaense defender Pedrinho in the coming days, Globo reports. According to the source, the 21-year-old Brazilian is already in the Pitmen's camp at the training camp in the Netherlands.
It is also reported that Pedrinho left Atletico Paranaense because of the scandal. The footballer was suspected of playing for a bookmaker's office, and for this reason the club cancelled his contract with him. Allegedly Pedrinho was one of the participants in the conspiracy of foul play, when Brian Garcia deliberately received a yellow card and received 80 thousand Brazilian reals (about 15 thousand euros) for it.
Pedrinho was found not guilty at the end of the trial, but this did not affect Atletico Paranaense's decision to terminate his contract.
