Yesterday, a regular meeting of representatives of the Premier League clubs was held to discuss the situation with the broadcasting of the 2023/24 season. The meeting lasted about three hours.
According to TaToTake, the clubs have chosen the following model. Broadcasts will be on OTT platforms, without content on a single YouTube channel or open TV channels. MEGOGO acts not only as the main broadcaster but also as a consultant in product development and distribution, including abroad.
It is expected that OTT platforms that will broadcast UPL matches will switch to a paid model of working with customers either from the 7th round (i.e. from 16 September) or from the second round of the season.
At the same time, a licence for broadcasting audio and visual content for the future UPL channel is being issued.
