After returning late on Sunday from a three-week training camp in Austria, the Dynamo Kyiv team had one day off. On Tuesday, the Dynamo team continued their preparations for the start of the new season, holding their first training session after the training camp at their training base in Vita-Litovsk.
The practical session was preceded by a lengthy theoretical session. Afterwards, the players went to the fitness room. Last season, a modern specialised fitness centre was built at the STB Dynamo, where the players can now work out different muscle groups.
Then the work began directly on the pitch. After running a few laps around the pitch at an easy pace, the players started an intensive running warm-up. After that, the main work with the balls began. First, the Dynamo players performed a short passing exercise. Then they split into squares, where the players practised holding the ball.
The squares were followed by tactical exercises, which the team performed in two groups on different halves of the field. Finally, the Dynamo players were offered exercises to develop their individual skills. Split into pairs, the field players took turns trying to make one-on-one passes with the defender, while the goalkeeper defended the goal. The White and Blues also practiced shots on goal in different conditions - from the exits, after passes, on the fly.
After the training session, the players traditionally continued to work on their shots individually.
Fortunately, the team's infirmary is currently empty. On Tuesday morning, those players who did not have time to do so before the training camp - Dynamo's national teams - underwent a mandatory pre-season medical examination at the Dobrobut clinic in Kyiv. Kahim Perris joined the team in Kyiv.
This week, Dynamo will hold training sessions at its base every day. On Saturday, the team's programme includes a traditional visit to the base, and on Sunday, the first official game of the new season will take place at the Valeriy Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium - against Minaj.
