Dynamo Kyiv defender Kostiantyn Vivcharenko shared his expectations from the start of the new season.
- What was your mood when you returned to Kyiv, to your home base?
- Very good mood and pleasant emotions. I hadn't been at home, at the base, for a month and a half, so I'm very happy to be here.
- For you, as well as for several other Dynamo players, the season ended a little late. Congratulations on your successful performance at Euro 2023. Was it difficult to join the training process again after a short rest?
- The guys who were at the training camp were in better condition. So, of course, it was harder for us - after seven days of holiday, we still felt heavy.
- In general, what emotions did the performance at Euro 2023 leave you with?
- These are incredible emotions, because for the first time in history, we reached the Olympics. I am proud to be a Ukrainian and play for the national team. So, of course, I am very happy with what we managed to achieve at the tournament.
- Did you feel the support of Ukrainian fans?
- Of course, there were a lot of them. Thanks to everyone who supported us. We tried to give our best to the game.
- There is less than a week left before the first match of the new season. Are the team and you personally ready for the start?
- I think the team is ready, there are still a few days of the final stage of preparation ahead. We will join the battle and try to win from the first match.
- During the training camp, Dynamo played opponents of different levels. Were there any teams that could be compared to your Ukrainian league opponents? What experience did you gain?
- Every match, with any team, is a certain experience. It makes no sense to compare with Ukrainian teams, as this is a different level.
- Your first opponent in the Ukrainian league is Minaj. What impression did the team make in previous seasons?
- A team that plays from defence, on the counterattack. Therefore, we will try to move the ball faster, and we also need to score a goal in the first minutes to make it easier in the future.
- Soon Dynamo will start playing in European competitions, and will have a busy schedule with two matches a week. How should you prepare for this?
- There is no need to prepare much. We understand that there will be a lot of travelling, games in two days on the third, so we have to be ready both physically and psychologically.
