Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat, who scored a double in the Ukrainian Premier League match against Minai (4-1), shared his emotions from the game.
- Congratulations on your victory! What were your impressions of the game?
- It was a good game. Despite the fact that we conceded a goal after a long-range shot at the beginning of the match, we were able to come back and take the lead in the first half, and eventually won.
- You are left-handed, but today you scored twice with your right foot... Has this ever happened in your career?
- To be honest, I don't remember. Maybe it has happened. In training, we practice shots with both feet, and today I managed to score twice with my right foot.
- You were already substituted when Dynamo earned a penalty. Would you have taken the 11-metre one if you had been on the pitch to score a hat-trick?
- I can't say for sure. It would have been decided on the pitch.
- Were you congratulated on your first double in official matches at the adult level?
- Probably, no one has thought that this is my first double yet, so no one has congratulated me much.
- What did Lucescu say?
- He said that I used the chances I had well. He also told me to keep doing that.
- Did the quick goal you conceded disrupt the game plan?
- Of course, it did. We ourselves had a tactic to score a quick goal, but it turned out that we conceded a goal instead. But it's okay, we got back at it.
- After Popov was sent off, you moved to the left wing. How comfortable are you playing there?
- The game moment demanded it. I had to cover this position. Of course, if not for the sending off, I would have played as a central striker, but the situation on the pitch was such that I had to change.
- Did Andriy Yarmolenko's presence change the team's character on the pitch?
- Of course, because Andriy is the leader of the team. If he runs, you can't help but run, because he will push you when necessary and drag you along.
- Yarmolenko said that he hadn't run as much as he did at this training camp for a long time. How did the training camp go for you, since you joined it later?
- We arrived at the end of the training camp, for about a week. We also did a lot of running work. I hope it will bear fruit.
- In general, is the team fully prepared for the season or do you still need a few more matches to get involved?
- The team is ready, but I feel that it is still difficult for me to play all 90 minutes, I am about 70-80 per cent ready. But in the near future I will try to give my best.
- After the European Youth Championship, have your emotions settled down, have you managed to psychologically tune in for the new season?
- Yes, the emotions from my performances at the Euros have already settled down, I have already rebooted psychologically and am ready for the new season.
