Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola complained about his team's busy calendar next season.
"I think that pre-season is a new season. We finish the season, recover for two weeks and then have pre-season training? Why? We haven't lost anything. But every year it gets worse and worse, and it will get worse, and I honestly don't know how it will end.
The problem here is psychological. The players are exhausted. Look at how many players get injured in the pre-season in bad conditions: humidity, heat, pitches are not very good - especially in the States. But it is what it is. We have to adapt and adjust, but it's not normal," Guardiola said.
In the new season, in addition to the major tournaments, the Citizens will take part in the FIFA Club World Cup to be held in Saudi Arabia in December.
