As previously reported, former Dynamo Kyiv defender Yevhen Khacheridi will continue his career at the amateur club Sturm from Ivankiv near Kyiv. The president of the club, Ivan Nakonechny, explained how the 36-year-old footballer ended up at his club.
Yevhen Khacheridi, Volodymyr Lysenko and Mykola Moroziuk- Igor Vadimovich, how did you persuade Yevhen Khacheridi to return to football?
- Yevhen wants to run more, so we persuaded him. Besides, we have a lot of his friends, so it is interesting for Khacheridi to play for Sturm. With our head coach Volodymyr Bondarenko he plays in the veterans' team, he is well acquainted with Lysenko and Pogorely (also Sturm players - ed.).
By the way, Lysenko offered him to play for us, Yevhen replied: "I don`t mind".
- What form is Khacheridi in now?
- He has already had three training sessions with us. Yevhen asked for time to get in shape. He himself understands that he needs to recover. Veterans play on the spot, and in the amateur league you need to run. I think he will not play this week, but next week he will start.
- Head coach of "Sturm" Bondarenko is satisfied with the signing of Khacheridi?
- Of course, he is satisfied. We used to concede 5-7 goals per season, and now we concede quite a lot. Khacheridi will help us to improve our defence.
- Should we expect any more stars in your team?
- We have strengthened Oleksiy Dityatiev, we have already announced him for our team. He was invited by Khacheridi, Lesha was just looking for a club. Many stars come to our team, because their friends play here. Without that it would be hard to get them.
Kolya Moroziuk will come soon, he is Lysenko's cousin. He will attend our matches as a fan. But it may happen that we will declare him as well. We'll see.
Lysenko called Khacheridi, Khacheridi - Dityatiev, now we are waiting for Lesha to invite someone. (Laughs). We have a good atmosphere in the club, the guys like to play here. No one has star disease. Everyone goes to the matches in one bus and communicate with each other.
- A lot of stars play in your team. What are their financial conditions?
- Khacheridi will play for free. He said: "I do not need money". Eseola also plays without salary. They get only bonuses for the game, but it is not supernatural sums. We rented a flat for Dityatiev.
- What is your average salary in the team?
- Approximately 10 thousand hryvnias. You can not even compare it with the UPL. (Laughs).
- What goal do you set for "Sturm" this season?
- Last year we were second in all tournaments, and this year we want to be first everywhere. But something is not going so far. I hope everything will get better with Khacheridi and Dityatev.
