"Minaj offers referees to return part of their fee in case of a refereeing error, Myroslav Nebesnyk, the media manager of the Transcarpathian club, said in the pre-match studio at UPL TV.
"This season there are too many refereeing mistakes. For example, if we take Minaj specifically, there were 8 resultant mistakes - these are obvious mistakes, some of which are even recognised by the UAF Referees Committee. Somehow we need to deal with this.
Mynai suggests that referees should be paid back 70-80% of their fees if they make a mistake that affects the outcome of a match. This is a normal business relationship. In any business, if a contractor fails to perform or performs poorly in front of a customer, he or she is sanctioned. We are for this old-school approach - punishing with the hryvnia.
We are not talking about arbitrators. There is the UAF Arbitration Committee - it is a contractor. It pays the club for a resultant mistake made by its employee. This should somehow improve the current state of affairs with refereeing.
Minaj will send a letter with this proposal to other clubs, to the UPL, and listen to what other clubs have to say about it. Then we will decide where to go from there. Because it really has to go through a lot of instances, a lot of regulations. This is not a one-day project," Nebesnyk said.
