Medics of Spanish side Girona have confirmed to their colleagues from the Ukrainian national team that midfielder Viktor Tsygankov will need at least three weeks to recover the right leg biceps femoris muscle injured in the recent match against Real Madrid. Another week will be needed for the player to prepare for his return to the field.
Tsygankov himself also reported all this to the head doctor of the national team of Ukraine Roman Zholobailiuk and coach of the national team Serhiy Rebrov.
Thus, the Girona midfielder will not be able to help the Ukraine national team in the October matches of Euro-2024 selection - against North Macedonia (14 October) and Malta (17 October).
