Myroslav Stupar: "Vanat did not fall by himself"

In a commentary to 1927.kiev.ua, the former referee Myroslav Stupar commented on the scandalous sending off of Vladyslav Vanat in the match of the 12th round of the Ukrainian championship between Kolos and Dynamo (1-1).

Miroslav Stupar

- Vanat did not fall down by himself. It was obvious to us, but not to the referee. Kozyryatskyi thought that Vladyslav was faking a fall, but the defender hit Vanat's ankle, and it was clear that he lost coordination in the dynamics of movement and fell beautifully. However, the main thing is not "beautiful" or "not beautiful", but the fact that there was a blow to the leg, and the VAR could not tell him anything.

Then, by and large, what is this VAR for - we need to expand the powers of the referees. "Dynamo was left in the minority, Kozyryatsky missed a spot-kick - he should have given a free-kick to Kolos. I wonder how the Referees' Committee will interpret this moment," wonders Myroslav Ivanovych.
