Veres vice-president Vyacheslav Shevchuk has announced his resignation from the club. According to him, the reason for this decision was his desire to take part in the election of the head of the Rivne Regional Football Association.

Vyacheslav Shevchuk

"In my life, I was lucky to become a professional footballer and make a successful career. I have won many trophies, played for the national team and led the country's main team to an international tournament as captain. After my playing career ended, I had a good opportunity to try myself as a coach, both in the Academy and in the adult team. Later, I met some incredible people at Veres Rivne, including the president Ivan Nadein and other young and ambitious managers, who helped me gain good experience as a club manager.

Two years ago, when I joined the people's club, I had an incredible desire to contribute my experience and knowledge to the development of the young team. During this period, I believe we have achieved a lot: we signed the largest advertising contract with the title sponsor, improved the living conditions of the players, implemented charity projects, and formed a professional network, as Veres is known and talked about among professionals in our field. I represented the red and black colours with pride and honour, fought for the club's interests to the end, even when confronting my friends. After all, Veres was and is my family, my home.

Nevertheless, it is time to move forward again. I am stepping down as Vice President of Veres in order to submit my candidacy for the position of Chairman of the Rivne Regional Football Association. I want to change, I want to reform, I want to improve. I want to bring football to all corners of Rivne region, open new grounds, involve children in football, and instil a love of the game by my own example. A little boy from Volyn managed to raise cups above his head, so why not the boys from Rivne region to create a new history of Ukrainian football. Create it together, move together, and life will once again thank those who are honestly and inspiredly devoted to their work," Shevchuk said.
