Ukrainian former track and field athlete Yuliia Krevsun, who is the mother of Borussia Dortmund U-19 midfielder Danylo Krevsun, commented on her son's non-call-up to the Ukrainian U-19 national team.
"Unfortunately, without us. Football is not an objective sport, you cannot come to a competition, win or fulfil a standard, especially when it comes to the national team.... You seem to be doing everything in your power, playing in the starting line-up, a midfielder who has scored 6 goals and 1 assist in 10 rounds, but you are not even given a chance to prove yourself for the youth team....
"Borussia Dortmund is not only a brand of the first team, it has been two-time German champions and once silver in the last 3 seasons, reached the 1/4 finals of the Youth Champions League for two consecutive seasons, and has national teams from Germany, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Iceland...
We continue to work, we thank the Armed Forces, we donate," Krevsun wrote on her Facebook page.
