This weekend are the matches of the 14th round of the Ukrainian championship of the season-2023/24. Kryvbas and Dynamo Kyiv met in one of them on Sunday, 12 November.

The central match of the tour started with Kryvbas attacks. We can say that the first minutes of the match were very difficult for Oleksandr Shovkovskiy's team - the hosts controlled the ball for a long time in the Bilo-Syni's half of the pitch and even managed to take a dangerous shot from a free kick taken by Ilic.

However, in the 8th minute of the game Kyivians managed a great counterattack, which was finished by Vanat. Our forward, having received a pass from the right flank from Tymchik, immediately decided to shoot from the penalty line - the ball flew into the bottom corner of Klischuk's goal - 0:1! Four minutes later, perhaps the key episode in the game took place: Kryvbas defender Beskorovainy, trying to interrupt a one-on-one, fouled and received a straight red card from the referee.

Left in the minority, Yuriy Vernidub's team lost their advantage - Dynamo started to dictate their own terms to the opponents. Moments at the gates of the hosts, you can say, "sprinkled" one after another. And on the 27th minute of the match Dynamo managed to double the advantage! Oleksandr Karavaev, responding to a long pass, stepped around a Kryvbas defender and broke into the Kryvyi Rih club's penalty area. Then everything was a matter of technique - our midfielder masterfully shot past Klishchuk into the near corner of the goal - 0:2!

Only after the second conceded goal Vernidub's wards began to play bolder in attack, because there was almost nothing to lose. Having relied on standards, the hosts troubled Buschan several times after corner kicks, but the Bilo-Syni goalkeeper played reliably. But Kryvbas players failed to realise their best moment just before the break: Dibango shot from the left edge of the penalty area along the goalkeeper's line, and Poe failed to block the pass from two metres out!

The second half started with Dynamo's attacks. Already on the 48th minute of the game Kabaev, who came on as a substitute, could have made the score a smashing one, but his shot from under the crossbar was saved by Klishchuk. "Kryvbas, in turn, continued to rely solely on standard positions: free kicks, corner kicks - everything was controlled by the Bilo-Syni defenders. It is noteworthy that Shovkovskiy was constantly prompting his charges, never once sitting down on the coach's bench.

In the 71st minute of the game, Karavaev could have scored a double: the Dynamo player again broke out of the custody, but his shot was neutralised by Klishchuk - probably the best player of Kryvbas in this game. Vernidub's team created their best moment in the second half in the 78th minute. After a shot from the right flank, the ball hit Kabaev and ricocheted into Buschan's goal post! None of the Kryvbas players had time to get the ball and it was knocked away by the Bilo-Syni defenders.

In the remaining time Dynamo had several more sharp attacks, but finished them with rather inaccurate long-range shots. As a result, our team got a confident and long-awaited victory, which allows them to move up to the 8th place in the league standings.

We shall remind you that Dynamo will play their next match in the championship of Ukraine after the pause for the matches of the national teams in the qualifying tournament of Euro-2024. On Sunday, 26 November, the Kyiv team will host Rukh at home. The kick-off is at 17:00.
