On Sunday, 12 November, in the match of the 14th round of the Ukrainian championship Dynamo Kyiv defeated Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas 2-0. The meeting was held in Kryvyi Rih at the stadium "Gornyak". Here is the post-match press conference of the head coaches of the teams.

- It was not easy for us today. We got into such a situation that recently we could not get the points we needed. As a result, our head coach decided to resign, and I was entrusted to lead the team.
During the last few days we first of all tried to bring the guys to the right emotional level. And then we tried to give them a new surge of desire to play football and play the way we see it
Today we managed to do something out of what we had planned. There were mistakes. There were some lucky ones. But overall I think it was a deserved victory.
I know Yuriy Nikolaevich Vernidub (head coach of Kryvbas - editor's note) well. All his teams play aggressive, well-coordinated, attacking football. At the same time, Kryvbas deservedly took the first place in this championship. I think this team will continue to demonstrate a powerful game.
We understood all this and had no right to even think about losing to Kryvbas in desire, motivation, commitment. These are the components of modern football that equalise teams. And besides that, our tactical developments played their role.
- How would you assess the referee's decision to suspend Beskorovainy?
- As far as I understand, we have bodies that are responsible for these issues. The episode, of course, is interesting from the point of view of interpretation. In our opinion, it was an offence that deserved a red card, in the opinion of Kryvbas representatives, perhaps, everything is different. Moments are interpreted by the referees. But the fact that Vanat was ahead and had an advantage - this, in my opinion, had a decisive role in that episode. Moreover, the VAR system was working at the match, which could have helped, if there was such a need.
- In the first half your team showed gentle football, Dynamo players were falling from the nearest touch. Was it your instruction?
- You saw that we played very tenderly, I saw that we played very aggressively, played forward. The view from the window is the same for everyone, but everyone sees different things there.
- Do you think it is normal to kill the intrigue in such a match in its very opening?
- I think that the referee should think not about the intrigue, but about the offence: if there is an offence, he should record it and decide whether it is necessary to show a card. Everything is simple.
- What have you managed to change in the team from the inside. And what is your goal as the acting head coach of Dynamo?
- The first question is not to me, but to the guys - only they know best how they perceive what we tell them. Yes, the situation in the championship is still difficult, but the tasks set before the club are unchanged.
- Winning the championship?
- Yes.
- Why Shaparenko was not in the squad for today's match?
- Unfortunately, he was injured and is now recovering. I hope, he will be able to start individual training in the near future.
Yuriy Vernidub, head coach of Kryvbas:
- Football is a sport, someone wins, someone doesn't. It so happened that today we suffered our third defeat in the championship. But I still told the guys not to lower their heads, but, on the contrary, to go with their heads held high. Today we had a difficult game with the grandee of our football, and the game was given to the grandee. It is bad that we conceded the first goal, but we wanted to play attacking football from the first minute and create chances. We did it well, but this red card on the 13th or whatever minute of the game changed our plans a bit. However, even after that we did not kick the ball anywhere, we still tried to play football, we tried to win back, we had chances, and not bad ones. We lacked a little bit in these episodes. But the main thing is that we were not afraid to play football.
Today we lost the match, but we did not lose the championship. Only 14 rounds have been played, there are still a lot of matches ahead. If the guys continue to play with such desire and discipline, I think, we will do well.
Congratulations to Dynamo. Unfortunately, there is nothing to congratulate us today, but the time will come - they will congratulate us.
- In your opinion, was Beskorovainy's penalty fair?
- From what we have watched by all our coaching staff, I can voice a general opinion that there was no red card there, but then they will say that Vernidub cannot lose. Vernidub knows how to lose. But if there is VAR on the game, I don't understand how the referees could not see the details of that moment, how they couldn't see that Beskorovainy didn't play at his feet. Wanat was falling down, had a good 'draw' and managed it - honour and praise to him for being so lucky. But I don't understand why the VAR then.
In my opinion, in this episode, there was not even a yellow card. There was no penalty. But if there was a penalty, then there was a penalty. We had to reorganise. "Minus one" in such a game is very difficult. But, I repeat, we continued to play, and we played well, creating chances. Let this mistake remain on the conscience of the referees, who worked at the match today.
- Comment on the episodes in which your team conceded goals.
- The weather hindered us a bit, of course, but, on the other hand, we were in the same conditions with Dynamo. In case of the first goal Monday could have kicked out, played simply, but the pass went, the wind came, and the ball was taken away from his foot - our player kicked, Vanat took it and scored. As for the second goal, it was said that Slava Ryabov had not yet had time to get into the game. However, in any situation it is difficult to play on the ball that "falls" on the ground. It's okay, we all make mistakes. The most important thing is that we made conclusions and did not make mistakes in the future.
