Lutsk Volyn will not return to professional football next year. Most likely, it will miss at least one more season.
In March 2023, Volyn U-19 head coach Albert Shakhov spoke about the possibility for the first team of the Lutsk club to apply for the second league. According to the specialist's words at the time, "the club has suspended its activity, but it is not liquidated".
In the summer, Volyn was expelled from the Professional Football League along with four other clubs that did not apply for the continuation of the temporary suspension for the season-2023/24, did not pay membership fees and do not continue their activities.
In September, former player and coach of the Lutsk team Taras Mikhalik said that Volyn's return to professional football was not yet an issue. The investor refused to finance it. "Volyn" took tenth place in the final standings of the 2021/22 season in the First League, which was ended prematurely due to the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.
