Ukrainian midfielder Brentford Egor Yarmolyuk shared his emotions after the match against Arsenal (0:1), in which he came out in the starting line-up for the first time in the championship of England.
- Of course, unbelievable emotions. But we wanted to take points in this game. I can't say anything about it, because I can't find a word for it.
- A game against Arsenal, one of the biggest clubs. Was that one of the reasons why you joined Brentford? To perform in matches like that?
- Of course, it's definitely a big club. We wanted to play more defence and try to score on the counter-attack.
- This is your debut at the heart of it. When did you know that you would be out of the starting line-up?
- I found out yesterday before training. Thomas [Frank] told me about it. I was a bit surprised and of course a bit excited. I couldn't believe it.
- What were Thomas's requirements for today's game? There was no Jensen, more of a creative player in the centre. What was asked of you?
- Just asked me to play the way I know how to play and show the best version of myself.
- You played alongside Onyeka and Norgor in the centre. What advice did they give you?
- They have been very supportive of me. They have helped me to be my best version of myself.
- How is your transition to the adult team going. Are you enjoying it?
- Of course I enjoyed my time on the B team, but I worked hard to make it to the main team. The coach of the B team has been helping me. I really appreciate that support. He's an incredible coach, still supporting me.
- You played against Zinchenko today. Have you already had a chat?
- I am proud to play against him. I hope to see you now.
