On Monday, 11 December, Dynamo will play its final match in 2023. As part of the 17th round of the Ukrainian championship, the Kyiv derby will take place - Dynamo and Obolon will meet at the Valeriy Lobanovsky Dynamo Stadium.
The White and Blues don't have much time to prepare for the game against the Brewers - on Thursday, Dynamo played a postponed match of the UPL Round 3 against Metalist 1925.
The next morning, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team gathered at the training base, but not everyone had a full training session - those players who started were recovering after the match.
On Saturday, the team started training as a group. The training session was preceded by a long theoretical session. After that, the players went to the fitness room of the training base, where in winter Dynamo players do not only strength training, but also warm-ups before the main work on the field.
The gym is ideally equipped for the work of football teams, where players train and recover from injuries under the supervision of rehabilitation coaches. Volodymyr Shepelev trained separately from the main group. Denys Popov was working out in the gym at the same time as the group, but also under a separate programme.
The main work began on the football field, which in the frosty December weather is kept under a special protective film, which was removed immediately before the training. The coaching staff was already waiting for the players on the field, who had just left the fitness room.
After a short running warm-up, the team started working with the balls. During the session, the players worked on not only teamwork but also individual technique. Special attention was paid to standard positions.
As a reminder, the Dynamo vs Obolon match will start on Monday at 15:00. After that, the team will start the winter break.
