Coach Serhiy Lavrynenko commented on his dismissal from Veres.
- I need to digest it all, as they say, but two days ago, after the game with Shakhtar, I planned a meeting with the president. Indeed, this is a bit of an unexpected situation for me.
I haven't signed any contract terminations yet, and as far as I understand, this is more of an emotional decision, because I don't think my contract has a unilateral termination clause.
- Has anyone discussed this decision with you yet?
- There were hints of this throughout the season. Even after the first round, there was talk that they didn't like something - the game or something else. There were such hints throughout the season, a bad atmosphere was created...
But I coped with this atmosphere and hoped that by the end of the year we would have levelled things up. If we had done a good selection, as we should have done, then most likely there would have been a different result. As it was, we didn't select players, we just patched up the holes. I think this is the reason for the result.
You can fire all the coaches, but if you don't have a tool (and for us, the tool is the players), it is impossible to succeed. Especially as the competition among clubs has increased significantly.
- What are your next steps? Will you insist on paying the money for breaking the contract?
- Some conversations need to be held, but if I am now in Kropyvnytskyi, and the supervisory board was in Rivne, where I left all my things, I was preparing for the meeting. I did not take anything from there - all my suitcases remained in Rivne.
Of course, I will need to go and resolve issues in the legal plane - how to terminate the contract, how to get my work book. Both I and the new coach cannot be listed there at the same time. Of course, we need to go and talk. I think this is a conversation for the next few days - tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, I don't know, but it needs to be done.
