The well-known journalist Mykola Nesenyuk spoke about the value of those fans who come to watch football through the fence in the face of a ban on visiting stadium stands.

"Dynamo's last three home games at the club's Lobanovsky Stadium were interesting not only because of the home team's victories, which, in fact, did not surprise anyone, and not only because of Oleksandr Shovkovsky's first matches as the team's real, not temporary, coach, as in the spring. These matches had another omen. In my opinion, it was the main one: behind the stadium fence, where spectators were not allowed according to the regulations, there were several dozen people watching the football through a metal fence and tree trunks with leaves falling off them. Despite the winter weather, when the temperature reached minus five, these spectators not only watched the game, but also actively cheered - their shouts were clearly heard by everyone present.

One might wonder why they did that. This season, Dynamo's home matches in the Ukrainian championship can be watched for free on a public television channel somewhere in the comfort of your home, or in a warm office, or during an early dinner in a bar or cafe. But these people came to see live football, which no broadcast can replace! Perhaps these fans have not yet learnt the luxurious words "build-up", "winger" or "lateral" that modern football pundits use to enrich their language, they are not yet able to assess the effectiveness of each player's actions using computer programmes, counting all his movements on the pitch and touches to the ball.

And maybe they don't need to? After all, football for a true fan is primarily about emotions! Joy and sadness, excitement and disappointment, anger and resentment... How many of these and many other things are experienced during a game by someone who truly loves football and sincerely wishes success to their team, no matter where they are at that moment, no matter what game they are playing!

And that's right! Because football is still alive, despite the titanic efforts of "experts" who try to break the game down into molecules and load other people's heads with strange terms and coefficients. If you believe people like them, then teams don't need to take the field at all - the "experts" have calculated everything in advance! In fact, all these "analyses" are complete nonsense and resemble the actions of a doctor trying to sell a person suffering from a mild cold a bunch of expensive medicines and equally expensive tests and procedures. In reality, such illnesses go away in a week if treated, and in seven days if not. In the same way, football teams get sick for their own reasons, and each team regains its former health in its own way! The main thing is to have someone to do it for!

That is why I am very pleased to see a few dozen frost-resistant Kyiv residents who go to watch football over the fence in winter weather. They confirm that Dynamo have people to play for! So when our stadiums are officially opened for spectators, there will be not less, but more spectators than before the war! The only thing left is to win this war!" Nesenyuk wrote on his Facebook page.
