It's official. David Alaba diagnosed with cruciate ligament tear

Real Madrid defender David Alaba was injured in the 4-1 win over Villarreal in the 17th round of La Liga.

In the middle of the first half, the Austrian footballer felt an acute pain in his knee after a tackle in the centre of the pitch and was unable to continue the game. Following a medical examination, the 31-year-old defender was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee, according to the official website of the Creamers. Alaba will undergo surgery in the near future.
