Maksym Mekhaniv, the 27-year-old goalkeeper of Niva Ternopil, told us what examples he used to learn to defend the goal as a child.
Maxim Mechanov- "As a child, I was a fan of Casillas and Buffon, but above all - of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi. He was my idol. For me, his peak was the match against Switzerland at the 2006 World Cup and the legendary penalty shootout. I have never met Shovkovsky, but I hope that one day it will happen and I will tell him about my childhood passion. I have been supporting Dynamo since I was a kid," said the goalkeeper.
