Obolon forward Ihor Krasnopir told UPL TV about the results of the first part of the season for the Brewers.
Ihor Krasnopir (photo: fc.obolon.ua)- I think this half-year was a natural progression for our team. There is still work to be done, so we will do everything we can to show a better result in the second part of the season.
- How did you finish the first part of the season?
- The team went into the winter break in a good mood, as we have the opportunity to do what we love at this time. And good or bad results are in the past. We went on a break analysing our mistakes and trying to correct them in the second part of the season.
- Is there a noticeable difference between the level of the First League and the UPL ?
- Of course, and it is very noticeable, the players here are distinguished by their performance skills and speed of decision-making.
- How easy was it for you to move to this level?
- I think everything happened gradually, at first there was some uncertainty, after which I started to adapt more and more with each match.
- In terms of percentages, how well has Obolon adapted to this level?
- I think we can do even better. But if we estimate it as a percentage, then about 50-60 per cent.
- What element of the game, in the team's opinion, do you still need to improve?
- I think, first of all, we need to improve our psychology, play more confidently and not be afraid of mistakes, there are many cases when we are pressured by the result, so there is uncertainty in our actions.
- Which match was the most disappointing?
- I think the match against Polissia, when we got a penalty in the 90+ minutes and eventually lost.
- And which one brought you the most positive emotions?
- I think it was the match against Dnipro-1, when our team was losing 0-1 after the first half, and in the end we pulled out a strong-willed 2-1 victory away from home.
