The popular English-language publication GiveMeSport has ranked the 11 worst transfers in football history. The list includes the legendary Ukrainian former forward Andriy Shevchenko.

In the summer of 2006, Shevchenko left AC Milan and joined Chelsea in London. The transfer cost the retired player almost £40 million.
As a member of Chelsea, Andriy scored 22 goals in two seasons and then returned to Milan. The ranking of the worst transfers in history was topped by Philippe Coutinho's £121.5m move from Liverpool to Barcelona.
